Martha Gutteridge, MRes, is a research assistant at Stema. She studied Molecular and Cellular Bioscience at Imperial College London, where her research focussed on neural pathways linking stress, sex, and sleep in fruit flies, and novel cancer immunotherapies targeting natural killer cells. In her undergraduate degree, she worked in a laboratory investigating potential genetic modifications to prevent the spread of mosquito-borne disease. Having studied the biological manifestation of disease, she is now looking at how this exists in a wider social, economic, and political system.
